Job summary

dancker is seeking an experienced Interior Designer III - GSA to lead complex government-related design scopes and documentation. You will mentor junior designers, shape project strategy, and ensure contract-aligned solutions while collaborating with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities include CET drawings, furniture plans, product specs, and installation documents, with a focus on accuracy, constructability, and design excellence for major projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in interior design or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in progressive interior design roles including complex commercial interiors or government projects
• Advanced AutoCAD proficiency for detailed drawings and specs
• Familiarity with CET is preferred
• Knowledge of GSA requirements and government project processes is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead development of CET drawings, furniture plans, specifications, and 3D visuals
• Produce installation drawings and docs for complex projects ensuring accuracy and constructability
• Provide updates to Design Manager and leadership while guiding project direction
• Collaborate with executives, clients, and manufacturers to shape project vision
• Lead finish selections and specification decisions for large or complex projects
• Mentor junior designers and uphold design and documentation standards
• Represent design in client meetings and complex coordination discussions
