Job summary

UHY Advisors' Resource Solutions Group seeks a Senior Controller to support client engagements across close, reporting, and controls. You will lead accounting tasks in complex environments and coordinate with CFOs, auditors, and client teams.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of hands-on experience, CPA preferred, and strong Excel plus ERP system expertise (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, and more). This role offers varied onsite/hybrid/remote work arrangements with ongoing project leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with close, reconciliations, financial reporting and controllership-level work.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to operate in multi-entity or changing environments.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Experience entering client environments quickly and executing time-sensitive accounting work.
• Prior consulting, interim or project-based experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel and experience with major ERP/accounting platforms listed above.
• Strong written and verbal communication with client executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and drive practical process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end close including journals, analyses, and reconciliations.
• Assess close-process gaps and resolve items affecting accuracy or timeliness.
• Prepare and review U.S. GAAP financial statements and management reporting.
• Strengthen internal controls, close documentation, and audit readiness; support SOX/audit requirements.
• Provide hands-on support across areas such as intercompany, revenue, leases, fixed assets, accruals.
• Partner with CFOs and other leaders to resolve accounting issues.
• Support finance transformation, ERP implementations or remediation, and acquisition activity.
• Improve recurring workflows and transfer processes to the client team at engagement end.
