Invenergy LLC in Chicago seeks a Senior Engineer, Interconnections and Grid Analysis to perform technical analysis for interconnections across generation projects. The role is based in Chicago with a hybrid schedule (office Mon–Thu, remote Fri) and involves grid planning, market rule interpretation, and designing interconnection facilities.

Responsibilities span power flow, market evaluations, and coordination with regulators, asset managers, and industry groups.

Qualifikationen

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power systems.
• 3+ years in transmission system planning, compliance and operations.
• Knowledge of FERC, NERC standards related to transmission and interconnections.
• ISO/RTO or Utility interconnection experience is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Perform power flow analyses and market-related evaluations for generation and transmission development.
• Provide grid planning and congestion evaluations for PJM, NYISO, and ISONE projects.
• Review interconnection studies and identify opportunities for expansion.
• Assist in design of interconnection facilities and wind/solar collection systems.
• Coordinate with regulators and asset managers on queue reforms and risk strategies.
• Support M&A diligence and participate in interconnection industry groups.
