Job summary

OCI Energy LLC is seeking a Senior Interconnection Engineer to lead the interconnection studies and power flow analyses for utility-scale solar and storage projects in ERCOT and beyond. Under the Director of Interconnection, you will guide technical work across development, execution, and construction phases.

The role requires strong modeling skills, coordination with utilities and ISOs, and the ability to mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus in power systems or Computer Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in transmission planning, interconnection studies, or power market analysis.
• Hands-on experience with PowerWorld, PSSE, PLEXOS, or other power flow software.
• Ability to independently perform interconnection and transmission analyses.
• Familiarity with ERCOT and/or MISO markets preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead interconnection studies and power flow modeling for utility-scale projects.
• Coordinate with TSPs, ISOs, and internal teams across project lifecycles.
• Support preparation and submission of interconnection applications.
• Review study results and validate modeling inputs and outputs.
• Assist with interconnection agreements and technical exhibits.
• Represent OCI Energy in ISO meetings and regulatory discussions.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers.
