Job Duties

The Supervisory Intelligence Specialist provides direct supervision, guidance, and operational oversight to the Agency Management Analysts Sr. (AMAs) responsible for gathering, evaluating, analyzing, and disseminating intelligence and investigative information. This position ensures that all analytical products produced by AMAs meet Department standards for accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and professional presentation. The position maintains full technical capability to perform intelligence analysis at the same skill level as the analysts it supervises, providing hands‑on analytical support when needed. It also serves as an interchangeable supervisory resource, capable of fully assuming the duties of the second Supervisory Intelligence Research Specialist during absences or periods of elevated operational demand. This role supports continuity of intelligence operations across OLU by overseeing intelligence gathering, investigative support, data integrity, and production of actionable intelligence products for facilities, districts, law enforcement, and external criminal justice partners. The position also maintains proficiency in Command Center and Emergency Operations functions, providing supervisory or analyst-level support as required.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience in criminal intelligence, investigations, threat analysis, or related fields.
  • Supervisory experience directing operational staff.
  • Ability to interpret complex data, identify patterns, and produce professional intelligence products.
  • Proficiency with case management systems, analytical tools, and law enforcement commercial databases.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
Additional Considerations
  • Experience in corrections, law enforcement, or emergency operations.
  • Experience in a command center or operations center environment.
  • Experience with VCIN.
