Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in Criminal Justice or a related field preferred.
• Experience: Five (5) years in a Certified Corrections position, including two (2) years as a Certified Corrections Sergeant.
• Licenses: Florida State Corrections Certification, CPR and First Aid Certifications, and a valid Florida driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of IA/IU information.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate IA/IU staff.
• Interview complainants, witnesses and staff; prepare impartial reports.
• Oversee Inmate Drug Testing Program.
• Interview inmates for information and prepare written reports.
• Provide training on IA/IU functions to staff.
