Worth AI in Atlanta is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the integrations that connect Worth to the outside world, from APIs and SDKs to partner banks and fintechs. This role focuses on building and operating the integration layer for high-throughput data, with emphasis on reliability, scalability, and developer experience.

You will design and evolve the public REST APIs and SDKs, translate ambiguous partner specs into solid technical designs, and contribute to code quality through

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience owning major features or subsystems in production, with strong integration or API surface experience.
• Deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript ecosystem.
• Strong system design skills for resilient integrations including retries, idempotency, circuit breakers, rate limiting.
• Experience designing or operating a public API or SDK with versioning, auth, and developer ergonomics.
• Hands-on PostgreSQL experience with schema design and query optimization.
• Experience building event-driven systems with Kafka.
• Comfort with containerized apps in Kubernetes.
• Proven ability to refactor complex integration code into modular adapters.
• Mentoring junior engineers and raising team quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and implementation of major integrations and subsystems from partner evaluation to production rollout.
• Build and maintain integrations with third-party data providers and expose them behind clean internal contracts.
• Design, evolve, and operate Worth's public REST APIs and SDKs with emphasis on versioning and developer experience.
• Break down ambiguous partner specs into clear, technical designs with well-understood tradeoffs.
• Write high-quality production code across backend and frontend as needed.
• Design and evolve PostgreSQL schemas with indexing and data integrity.
• Build event-driven workflows with Kafka and Redis to orchestrate enrichment and retries.
• Deploy, monitor, and debug containerized services in Kubernetes with runbooks.
• Lead refactors of legacy integration code into modular adapters and mentor others.
• Handle production incidents methodically to reduce recurrence.
