Job summary

Worth is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead integrations that connect Worth to external systems. You will own major subsystems, design and deliver integration layers, and mentor others. The role emphasizes production-grade code across backend and frontend using Node.js, TypeScript, Nest.js, and React.js.

You will design scalable PostgreSQL schemas, build event-driven workflows with Kafka and Redis, and operate Kubernetes deployments with a focus on reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Ownership of major features or subsystems in production.
• Deep expertise in Node.js and TypeScript ecosystems.
• Strong system design skills for resilient integrations: retries, idempotency, circuit breakers, rate limiting, webhook handling, graceful degradation.
• Experience designing or operating a public API or SDK (versioning, auth, contracts, developer ergonomics).
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.
• Experience building or maintaining event-driven systems using Kafka.
• Comfort operating containerized applications in Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and implementation of major integrations and subsystems, from partner evaluation to production rollout.
• Build and maintain integrations with third-party data providers behind clean internal contracts.
• Design, evolve, and operate Worth's public REST APIs and SDKs with emphasis on versioning and developer experience.
• Translate ambiguous specs into clear technical designs with tradeoffs.
• Write production code across backend and frontend using Node.js, TypeScript, Nest.js, and React.js.
• Evolve PostgreSQL schemas with focus on indexing and data integrity.
• Build event-driven workflows with Kafka and Redis for enrichment and backpressure.
• Deploy, monitor, and debug containerized services in Kubernetes.
