Job summary

Cribl, the telemetry infrastructure company, seeks a Senior Integrations Engineer to build data integration components among closed and open source systems. You will work across research and development, crafting robust code in NodeJS/TypeScript and sometimes C++, while collaborating with product, UX, and business teams.

This is a fully remote role within Cribl's remote-first culture. You’ll contribute to testing, on-call rotations, and ongoing innovation across cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Qualifications

• Experience integrating with third-party apps, libraries, and APIs.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems.
• Experience with using and developing REST APIs.
• Experience interacting with and building on cloud based platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Experience with authorization and authentication standards such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, LDAP and SAML is a plus.
• Comfort with significant research and discovery before coding begins.
• Demonstrated ability to build robust systems in the face of uncertainty.
• Experience with Agile processes and rapid iterative development.
• Strong sense of ownership with focus on high quality and high performing deliverables.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to explain complex technical topics to stakeholders in remote environments.
• Insatiable curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies and products.

Responsibilities

• Develop features that integrate Cribl's data stream processing engine with data systems like Splunk, Elastic Search, Kafka, AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage.
• Rapidly develop subject matter expertise in diverse 3rd party technologies by provisioning, building, and configuring systems and accounts.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain clear, robust code that delivers expected outcomes for customers.
• Develop expert level knowledge of software development using NodeJS and TypeScript (and sometimes C++).
• Ensure features work as expected by creating robust test plans and automated/integration tests.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, UX designers, and business teams to translate specs into code.
• Provide feedback on feature design and code reviews; participate in 24/7 on-call rotation.
