Job summary

Cribl is seeking a Senior Integrations Engineer to build components that connect Cribl's data stream processing with systems like Splunk, Elasticsearch, Kafka, and cloud storage.

You will explore diverse technologies, develop robust NodeJS/TypeScript code (with occasional C++), and write tests to ensure reliability. This fully remote role involves collaboration across product, UX, and ops, and requires ownership and participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Experience integrating with third party applications, libraries, and APIs.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems.
• Experience with REST APIs.
• Experience interacting with and building on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Experience with authorization and authentication standards such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, LDAP and SAML is a plus.
• Comfort with significant research and discovery before coding begins.
• Demonstrated ability to build robust systems in the face of uncertainty.
• Experience with Agile processes and rapid iterative development.
• Strong sense of ownership with focus on high quality and high performing deliverables.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; able to explain complex topics remotely.

Responsibilities

• Develop features that integrate Cribl's data stream processing engine with data systems such as Splunk, Elastic Search, Kafka, AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage.
• Rapidly develop subject matter expertise in a diverse set of 3rd party technologies by provisioning, building, and configuring systems and accounts.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain clear, concise, robust code for customers.
• Develop expert knowledge of NodeJS/TypeScript (and possibly C++), including Node internals when needed.
• Ensure features work as expected with robust test plans and automated tests.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, designers, and business teams to translate specs into code.
• Provide feedback on design and conduct code reviews with peers.
• Contribute to weekly 24/7 on-call rotation and related support.
