Job summary

Cribl is hiring a Senior Integrations Engineer to build software components that enable data collection and transmission between closed and open source systems. You will work on integrations with systems like Splunk, Elastic Search, Kafka, and cloud storages, collaborating with engineers to ship high-quality software for enterprise customers.

The role emphasizes research, development, and deep technical exploration in a fully remote, global team.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience integrating with third party applications, libraries, and APIs.
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems.
Experience with using and developing REST APIs.
Experience interacting with and building on cloud based platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
Experience with authorization and authentication standards such as Oauth2, OpenID Connect, LDAP and SAML is a plus.
Comfort with significant research and discovery before coding begins.
Demonstrated ability to build robust systems in the face of uncertainty.
Experience with Agile processes and rapid iterative development.
Strong sense of ownership with focus on high quality and high performing deliverables.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to explain complex technical topics to both internal and external stakeholders with ease and in remote/distributed environments.
Insatiable curiosity - willing to learn new technologies and products.

Responsibilities

Develop features that integrate Cribl's data stream processing engine with data systems.
Rapidly develop expertise in a diverse set of 3rd party technologies by provisioning, building, and configuring systems.
Design, develop, test, and maintain robust code for customer outcomes.
Develop expert level knowledge of software development using NodeJS and TypeScript (and sometimes C++).
Create robust test plans and automated/integration tests.
Collaborate with engineers, PMs, UX designers, and business teams to implement features.
Provide feedback on design and code reviews within the team.
Participate in weekly on-call rotation and contribute to the support process.
Engage in internal/external community, documentation, and blogs related to products.
