Job summary

Equify Financial, a Fort Worth-based lending technology company, seeks a Senior Software Engineer for Integrations & Data. You will design and operate backend integrations between core platforms, build APIs, and own data ingestion into a Databricks lakehouse, enabling reliable reporting and analytics.

On-site role with a focus on idempotent design, testing, monitoring, and collaboration with vendors, risk, and analytics teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years of professional backend or data engineering experience.
• Strong backend development skills in Python plus at least one of C#/.NET or TypeScript/Node.js.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and consuming REST APIs, including OAuth and token-based authentication.
• Proven experience integrating third-party enterprise or SaaS platforms with reliability patterns.
• Experience with event-driven and asynchronous integration patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks or a comparable lakehouse platform.
• Expert SQL, and experience with change data capture and incremental processing.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and the broader Microsoft ecosystem.
• CI/CD, version control, and automated testing for services and data pipelines.
• Demonstrated ability to drive work from requirements through production.
• Able to work with business users and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate backend integrations between core platforms.
• Build the APIs, services, and middleware that sit between vendor systems.
• Engineer integrations for production: authentication, retries, idempotency, error handling, logging, and replay.
• Work with platform vendors on API capabilities and testing; document contracts and behavior.
• Own data ingestion from the same systems into the Databricks lakehouse, including CDC.
• Design and maintain transformation layers for reporting and reconciliation.
• Define and enforce schema contracts across upstream systems.
• Establish shared keys to match records across systems.
• Build monitoring, alerting, and reconciliation checks across pipelines.
• Replace manual data prep with automated processes.
• Build the integration and data foundation for customer-facing platforms.
• Use modern AI coding tools to accelerate development and documentation.
