Job summary

Equify Financial is seeking a highly hands-on Backend Engineer to own integration and data pipelines across origination, servicing, CRM, documents, and accounting platforms. The role centers on building reliable APIs, data ingestion into a Databricks lakehouse, and robust change-data-capture with idempotent workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong backend development of Python and at least one of C#/ .NET or TypeScript/Node.js.
• Experience designing, building, and consuming REST APIs with OAuth and token-based auth.
• Proven experience integrating third-party enterprise or SaaS platforms with idempotency, retries and reconciliation.
• Experience with event-driven patterns, webhooks, message queues, or serverless functions.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks or similar lakehouse, Spark and Delta Lake.
• Expert SQL, change data capture, and incremental processing.
• Microsoft Azure ecosystem experience; CI/CD and automated testing in production.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate backend integrations between core platforms (origination, servicing, CRM, docs, accounting).
• Build APIs and middleware using REST, webhooks, and message queues.
• Own data ingestion into Databricks lakehouse and transformation layers for reporting and reconciliation.
• Define schema contracts and enforce cross-system data consistency.
• Establish keys to match records across systems and implement monitoring and reconciliation checks.
• Leverage AI coding tools to accelerate design, implementation, and testing.
• Collaborate with business users, analysts, and vendors to translate requirements into production solutions.
