Job summary

Castelion is seeking a Senior Integration & Test Engineer to lead the transition of defense hardware from prototype to production. You will own assembly, integration, and test processes across mechanical, electrical, and avionics subsystems, supporting scalable manufacturing and flight-test campaigns.

You will collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to drive producibility, lead root-cause investigations, and mentor other engineers in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience within aerospace, defense, or related high-reliability manufacturing/production environment, especially in integration, test, or manufacturing roles.
• Demonstrated history of taking hardware from R&D or prototype phase through to production.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (NX preferred).
• Broad exposure to mechanical, structural/composite, electrical/avionics, and propulsion or fluid/energetic systems with cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of assembly, integration, and test processes for full hardware assemblies.
• Become an expert in system-level interactions and field operation of the vehicle.
• Guide hardware from concept through prototype, qualification, and production-ready status.
• Evaluate designs for manufacturability, testability, and producibility; feed requirements back into design reviews.
• Develop, document, and qualify manufacturing, assembly, and test processes; create work instructions and quality standards.
• Lead hands-on build and test operations; perform go/no-go judgments with technicians.
