Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Test Engineer Level 5 for the Advanced Weapons Test and Evaluation Engineering department in Northridge, CA. The role focuses on developing and maintaining test plans, procedures, and reports with minimal supervision, coordinating cross-functional testing for the AARGM programs, and traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in STEM with required years of experience.
• Experience using test equipment such as oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, DMM, signal generator, power supplies.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Experience writing test plans and test reports.
• Experience using Microsoft Office.
• Current US Government DoW Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Data summary, distribution, and test report authorship.
• Develop executable test plans addressing verification requirements.
• Coordinate instrumentation, data requirements, and test planning with stakeholders.
• Communicate results and path forward to customers with documents.
• Use MATLAB, Excel for data analysis and reduction.
• Test on hardware-in-the-loop or software-in-the-loop environments.
• Collaborate with Systems, Software, and other engineering functions.
