Job summary

Exelon is seeking an Insurance Risk Manager to execute corporate policy for insurance and risk retention programs, and to interface with brokers and insurers to safeguard assets. Based in Owings Mills, MD, the role supports Exelon's transmission and distribution assets and partners with leadership to minimize risk and cost.

The position requires strong analytical capabilities, knowledge of risk management principles, and experience in insurance markets to guide decisions across subsidiaries.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in risk management and insurance, accounting, finance, engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in insurance or risk management.
• Demonstrated analytical and evaluation skills.
• Knowledge of risk management principles and insurance markets.
• Ability to analyze insurance decisions and their impact on Exelon and its subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate corporate insurance programs and support risk management efforts.
• Identify and evaluate corporate risk exposures and advise leadership.
• Support negotiations with brokers and insurers and review contracts.
• Maintain relationships with insurance brokers and internal/external stakeholders.
• Assist leadership to insure assets through best-practice risk management.
