Exelon Corporation is seeking a skilled professional to execute corporate policy for insurance and risk retention programs. The role administers third-party and self-insured programs, interfacing with brokers and insurer staff to manage costs and compliance.

Primary duties include coordinating programs, evaluating exposures, and supporting negotiations of coverages. Strong analytical ability and industry knowledge are essential for success in this multi-location posting.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in risk management & insurance, accounting, finance, engineering or related degree.
• 5+ years experience in insurance or risk management.
• Knowledge of risk management principles and insurance markets.
• Ability to analyze insurance decisions and their impact on Exelon and its subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the coordination of the corporate insurance program and the management of risks through the administration of third party and self-insured programs. (30%)
• Identify and evaluate corporate risk exposures. Make recommendations to Insurance Department Leadership for addressing these exposures. (20%)
• Coordinate specific corporate insurance programs and represent corporate interests with brokers and insurers. (30%)
• Support the negotiation of specific insurance coverages, review insurance contracts, administer insurance policies, and ensure compliance with governmental regulations. (20%)
• Perform analytical and administrative tasks necessary to support the management of specific lines of insurance coverage.
