Hyundai Capital America is seeking a Sr. Application Developer Associate for the Insurance Platform. You will develop and optimize SQL/PL-SQL for policy administration, underwriting, and claims, while collaborating with business and tech teams in an Agile setting.

The role requires 4–6 years in SQL/PL-SQL, strong problem-solving and documentation skills, and a Bachelor’s in a related field. Hybrid work setup and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of hands-on SQL/PL/SQL development, preferably in finance or insurance.
• Experience supporting SDLC activities (requirements, development, testing, deployment, documentation, production support).
• Experience analyzing and resolving data or application issues in a technical environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Write, review, optimize and maintain complex SQL, PL/SQL code for insurance contracts, cancellations, claims, and reporting.
• Analyze data flows, business logic, and code to identify defects and performance bottlenecks.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and escalate as needed.
• Support unit/integration/UAT testing with timely issue resolution.
• Document data flows, business rules, and insurance product logic for stakeholders.
