The Department of Financial Regulation in Vermont seeks an Insurance Examiner-In-Charge to lead examinations of traditional insurers, analyze financial condition, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will oversee exam activities, mentor junior staff, and prepare reports for senior leadership.

This senior role requires strong financial, analytical, and leadership skills, with the ability to travel and work both in-office and remotely.

Formación

• Graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree and four or more years of experience at a technical level in accounting, auditing, or financial examination, including two+ years in insurance operations and supervisory responsibilities.
• One year as an Insurance Examiner III.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, organize, and execute examination activities and monitor progress.
• Assign and review work performed by other examiners to meet timelines.
• Prepare examination reports and communicate findings to management.
• Provide mentorship and direction to junior examiners to develop procedures.
• Lead or conduct examinations with a risk-focused approach on governance, controls, and compliance.

Educación
