Jobot is seeking a Senior Insurance Defense Attorney to join our Central Texas team with offices in Austin and San Antonio. You will defend clients in state and federal courts across Texas, draft pleadings and discovery, and manage cases from intake through trial with senior partner collaboration.

Qualifications

• Requires JD from an accredited law school.
• Texas Bar admission in good standing is required.
• Minimum 8+ years of litigation experience in insurance defense and related areas.

Responsibilities

• Defend clients in insurance matters including coverage disputes, bad faith, product liability, general liability, and related claims.
• Draft pleadings, briefs, motions, and discovery; take and defend depositions.
• Manage caseload from intake through trial or resolution; consult with senior partners on case strategy.
• Handle litigation in state and federal courts across Texas.
• Negotiate settlements, work with experts, prepare for mediation/arbitration, and try cases when needed.
• Mentor and train junior attorneys.
