Qualifications

• Active Texas Bar admission in good standing.
• 6+ years of insurance defense litigation experience.
• Experience handling complex civil litigation matters.
• Trial experience or significant first-chair litigation responsibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters from inception through resolution.
• Represent insurance carriers, self-insured entities, and corporate clients in complex litigation.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation.
• Draft and argue substantive motions in state and federal courts.
• Conduct fact investigations, legal research, and case evaluations.
• Prepare litigation strategy recommendations and exposure analyses.
• Attend hearings, mediations, depositions, and court appearances.
• Collaborate with partners and clients on litigation strategy and risk management.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
• Supervise and mentor junior associates and support staff as needed.
• Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and effective case management.
