Job summary

Jobot seeks a Senior Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney for a leading Central Texas civil litigation firm with offices in Austin and San Antonio. You will defend clients in insurance matters and manage cases across Texas, including state and federal courts, while mentoring junior attorneys.

The role offers a base salary of $150,000–$180,000 with an annual bonus and comprehensive benefits. Hybrid in-office/remote work is available to suit life balance.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to the Texas Bar in good standing.
• 8+ years of litigation experience.
• Experience in insurance defense, general liability, product liability, professional liability and coverage disputes.

Responsibilities

• Defend clients in a wide variety of insurance matters: coverage disputes, bad faith claims, product liability, general liability.
• Draft pleadings, briefs, motions, and discovery; take and defend depositions.
• Manage your caseload from intake through trial or resolution; strategize case directions with senior partners.
• Handle litigation in state and federal courts across Texas.
• Negotiate settlements, coordinate with experts, prepare for mediation or arbitration, and see cases through trial when needed.
• Help mentor and train more junior attorneys

Here, you will:

• Defend clients in a wide variety of insurance matters: coverage disputes, bad faith claims, product liability, general liability, etc.
