Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney for a leading civil litigation firm in Central Texas with offices in Austin and San Antonio. The attorney will defend clients in insurance matters and manage caseload from intake through trial, in state and federal courts across Texas.

Requirements include a JD from an accredited law school and Texas Bar admission, with 2+ years of litigation experience and insurance defense experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to the Texas Bar in good standing.
• 2+ years of litigation experience.
• Experience in insurance defense, general liability, product liability, professional liability and coverage disputes strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Defend clients in a wide variety of insurance matters: coverage disputes, bad faith claims, product liability, general liability, etc.
• Draft pleadings, briefs, motions, and discovery; take and defend depositions.
• Manage your caseload from intake through trial or resolution; strategize case directions with senior partners.
• Handle litigation in state and federal courts across Texas.
• Negotiate settlements, work with experts, prepare for mediation/arbitration, and see cases through trial when needed.
