Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney for a leading civil litigation firm in Central Texas, with offices in Austin and San Antonio. The role focuses on defending clients in insurance defense matters and managing complex cases from intake to trial.

The ideal candidate has a JD from an accredited law school, is admitted to the Texas Bar, and brings 8+ years of litigation experience, including insurance defense, general and product liability.

Responsibilities

• Defend clients in a wide variety of insurance matters: coverage disputes, bad faith claims, product liability, general liability, etc.
• Draft pleadings, briefs, motions, and discovery; take and defend depositions.
• Manage your caseload from intake through trial or resolution. Strategize case directions in consultation with senior partners.
• Handle litigation in both state and federal courts across Texas.
• Negotiate settlements, work with experts, prepare for mediation or arbitration, and see cases through trial when needed.
• Help mentor and train more junior attorneys

Here, you will:

• Defend clients in a wide variety of insurance matters: coverage disputes, bad faith claims, product liability, general liability, etc.
• Draft pleadings, briefs, motions, and discovery; take and defend depositions.
