Job summary

BMO Financial Group invites an experienced credit risk leader to adjudicate and manage a portfolio of U.S. Life and P&C insurance credits. You will partner with Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, and Capital Markets to assess and approve complex exposures while aligning with risk appetite and policies.

The role emphasizes insurance sector expertise, regulatory awareness, and effective stakeholder management, with leadership duties and governance responsibilities across risk teams.

Qualifications

10+ years of credit risk or counterparty risk experience in financial institutions.
Deep knowledge of U.S. Life/Annuity and P&C insurance sectors, regulatory frameworks.
Experience presenting complex credit recommendations to executives and committees.

Responsibilities

Provide independent credit adjudication and portfolio management for insurance credits.
Assess creditworthiness across lending, trading, and counterparty exposures.
Lead risk governance, mentoring, and policy development.
Partner with Front Office and Risk, Legal, Compliance, Finance to support decisions.
