Job summary

MASA is seeking an Associate General Counsel for a full-time remote position open to the United States, with a hybrid option in South Florida. You will work closely with the General Counsel to shape regulatory strategy, product approvals, and high-stakes disputes while guiding cross-functional teams. You will bring 8+ years of insurance regulatory experience, a J.D.

with active U.S. licensure, and a track record advising executives.

Qualifications

• J.D. with active U.S. license.
• 8+ years in progressive legal roles with substantial insurance regulatory work.
• In-house experience advising executives and balancing legal risk with business priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead legal work for MASA’s products, market access, regulatory relationships and disputes.
• Manage multistate product filings from submission to approval and implementation.
• Collaborate with product, distribution, claims and operations teams on legal strategy.
• Oversee litigation strategy, outside counsel, budgets and settlements.
• Coach the legal team and coordinate day-to-day decisions within delegated authority.
• Help build an AI-enabled legal function with governance and confidentiality safeguards.
