Job summary

The Insurance Compliance Senior Associate at Lument oversees complex compliance activities across a commercial loan servicing portfolio, guiding the team, ensuring borrower coverage meets investor and regulatory requirements, and mitigating risk through proactive review and remediation.

You will coach junior staff, drive process improvements, coordinate with borrowers, brokers, and vendors, and support audit readiness while maintaining accuracy and timeliness in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
• 4–6 years of experience in commercial insurance or loan servicing.
• Advanced knowledge of Property, General Liability, Auto, Crime, Flood, Wind/Named Storm, and Earthquake.
• Strong understanding of investor guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA/HUD).
• Ability to assess risk and drive remediation with minimal oversight.
• Mentor and train team members; contribute to performance development.
• Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with servicing platforms and insurance tracking systems.
• Excellent organizational and time management; able to handle high-volume workloads.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving with attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication; translate complex insurance concepts.
• Leadership, collaboration across cross-functional teams.
• Maintain confidentiality and sound judgment.
• Adaptable in a fast-paced environment; resilience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complex insurance policy compliance reviews and assess risk across loan portfolios
• Lead remediation of non-compliant items with borrowers, brokers, and agents
• Quality assurance reviews of team output; provide actionable feedback
• Develop, maintain, and enhance policies, procedures, and team resources
• Coach and mentor junior team members for professional development
• Manage vendor relationships and support workflow coordination
• Monitor workloads and ensure deadlines and renewal timelines are met
• Assist with audit readiness activities and respond to audit inquiries
• Travel 10% as required
