Job summary

Kin Insurance, a remote-first insurer, is seeking a Senior Insurance Business Analyst to translate product decisions into implementable requirements for engineers. You will own the requirements lifecycle for new products, state launches, endorsements, and formatting into clear specs across a broad range of stakeholders.

You will collaborate with Insurance Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, Operations, and Engineering to ensure accurate, implementation-ready requirements are

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a business/ systems analyst, with 3+ years in P&C insurance
• Translate insurance product concepts into structured requirements for Engineering
• Experience in Agile or iterative delivery with requirements clarification and UAT
• Knowledge of policy administration systems and how rating, forms, rules, and eligibility are configured in production
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or similar

Responsibilities

• Own the requirements lifecycle for new products, state launches, endorsements, and changes
• Collaborate across Insurance Product, Actuarial, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, and Engineering
• Develop user stories, data mappings, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios
• Lead UAT planning and product review to confirm correct implementation
• Serve as primary point of contact for requirements questions during development
