Job summary

Ledgebrook is seeking a forward-thinking Insurance Senior Accounting Manager – Insurance who will report directly into the Group Controller. As Ledgebrook scales, our Finance team grows with AI-enabled high-tech systems to support a ground-up build.

You will oversee insurance accounting and reporting, collaborate with FP&A, drive process improvements, and implement automated workflows using AI tools. The role combines accounting excellence with technology-led transformation in a remote-friendly,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• 5-7 years progressive accounting experience, preferably within the insurance industry.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements.
• Familiarity with accounting software; proficient in Microsoft Excel; Workday and Gain a plus.
• Experience using AI tools to automate financial processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes for all assigned insurance entities.
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of journal entries, accruals, estimates and adjustments.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, income statement fluctuations and schedules.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures and documentation.
• Lead accounting process improvement initiatives for efficiency and scalability.
• Collaborate with FP&A on forecasts, variances and management reporting.
