Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Advanced Test Instrumentation Engineer to lead complex instrumentation projects in the aerospace sector. You will coordinate across teams to meet timelines and budgets while delivering high-quality test data and solutions.

You will report to the Sr Test Eng Manager and operate from the Phoenix, AZ site on a Hybrid schedule, with 100% onsite for the first 90 days. Your role emphasizes mentorship and methodology development for state-of-the-art test systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (engineering, sciences, math)
• 4+ years in test engineering, preferably aerospace
• Extensive experience in instrumentation engineering within aerospace or related industries
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, measurement methods, PM methodologies, and aerospace standards
• Proficiency with test software tools and scripting for automation and data processing
• Experience troubleshooting complex systems and improving test processes
• Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced measurement sensors and deliver high-quality solutions for turbomachinery products
• Define measurement system integration for reliable test data
• Create standards and documentation for sensor installations
• Collaborate with engineering teams to define test requirements and ensure alignment with specs
• Analyze test data to identify trends and improvement areas
• Implement innovative testing methods to improve coverage and efficiency
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
• Travel up to 10%
