Job summary

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy.

The Instrumentation Operation Engineer Level III will modify, install, test, and document airborne test instrumentation data acquisition systems and oversee the operation of ground support equipment. This role requires leading a sustainment and maintenance team, coordinating with engineering and management disciplines, and interfacing with customers from quotation to final

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Engineering with 4 years of related engineering experience, or MS with 2 years, or PhD in engineering.
• Technical authority on projects related to the JT4 programs.
• Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions for operational hardware and software.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to work under deadlines.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Modify, install, test, evaluate, repair, and document airborne test instrumentation data acquisition systems.
• Lead sustainment, operations, and maintenance team on complex engineering tasks.
• Coordinate with engineering, logistics, finance, and program management to define specifications and meet requirements.
• Verify compliance with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
• Prepare and present formal technical papers.
• Review proposals, assess scope, feasibility, and level of effort.
• Prepare system/subsystem specifications and documentation.
• Interface with customers from quotation to final design and support test activities, and act as liaison for design reviews.
• Conduct site visits and experimental investigations, analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives.
