Genentech is seeking an Instrumentation Technician to calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install analytical instruments across manufacturing and laboratory environments in California. You will collect technical data, document work per SOPs, and ensure safe operation while coordinating with multiple departments.

The role requires strong analytical skills, ability to read P&IDs and schematics, and experience with cGMP/GLP environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with instrumentation/Electronics tech training and 3 years' experience.
• AA/AS degree with 3 years' instrument/electronics technician experience.
• Equivalent military training with 3 years' instrument/electronics technician experience.
• Five years of instrumentation and/or analytical instrumentation experience.
• Ability to read P&IDs, engineering drawings, and schematics.
• Ability to build and repair equipment.
• Proficiency with corporate intranet, applications, software, word processing and spreadsheets.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, physical principles of process instrumentation.

Responsabilités

• Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install instruments.
• Collect and organize technical data from manufacturers and users.
• Maintain documentation per SOPs and safety policies.
• Lead and train peer craftspeople in needed skills.
• Escort vendors and ensure complete maintenance documentation.
