Qualifications

• Associate degree in instrument, mechanical, electrical, or electronic engineering.
• Four years of progressively responsible experience in installation, maintenance, repair and calibration of pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical instruments and remote control equipment.
• Four years must have been as Instrument Technician 1st Class.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications and manuals.
• Knowledge of safety rules, OSHA standards and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise adjustment, calibration, inspection, repair, maintenance and installation of all plant instrumentation.
• Establish and conduct a planned preventative maintenance schedule for instruments.
• Assign work to workers and review completed work for compliance with specifications.
• Train and orient new employees to operations.
• Maintain inventories of spare parts and ensure safe operation of instruments and controls.
• Report abnormal conditions to the maintenance manager and coordinate corrective actions.
