IKM Consultants AS seeks an experienced instrumentation engineer in Bergen for full-time engagement on offshore/onshore oil & gas projects. You will design instrumentation tasks, estimate work, and coordinate with suppliers, participating in FAT and inspections. The role involves training junior engineers and updating as-built documentation.

The position requires 8+ years in the field, a relevant degree, and certifications (EX, LV, HUET, health). Offshore travel is expected.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instrumentation/Automation Hardware (or related VEM experience).
• Minimum 8 years of offshore/onshore oil & gas project experience.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, field equipment, and control systems (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical).
• Experience with brownfield modifications and operating facilities; familiarity with ATEX, NORSOK, STID, ProCoSys and ARIS.
• Required certifications: Basic EX course, FSE high/low voltage with first aid, Offshore HUET, and health certificate.
• Experience with tender prep, tie-back developments, and metering systems is a plus.

Required expertise

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instrumentation/Automation Hardware (or Technical College with extensive VEM experience).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience from offshore and/or onshore oil & gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, field equipment, and control systems (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical).
• Extensive knowledge of brownfield modifications and working operating facilities.
• Experience with industry standards and tools such as ATEX, NORSOK, STID, ProCoSys, and ARIS.
• Required certifications: Basic EX course, FSE high/low voltage with first aid, Offshore certificate with HUET, and a valid health certificate.
• Experience with tender preparation, tie-back developments, and metering systems is an advantage.

Language: Fluent in Norwegian and/or English, both written and spoken

Location: Bergen (with offshore travel required)

Work schedule: Full-time (100% workload)
