Job summary

Dovre Solutions is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to join our project personnel team. Leading responsibilities include detailed design, studies participation, and preparation of tender packs for offshore/onshore oil & gas facilities.

The role requires a strong background in instrumentation systems, familiarity with ATEX/NORSOK, and ability to support project execution from study through completion. Offshore experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instrumentation/Automation Hardware (or Technical College with extensive VEM experience).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant offshore/onshore oil & gas instrumentation experience.
• Proven track record in instrumentation engineering and design.

Responsibilities

• Detailed design of instrumentation tasks and package preparation.
• Participate in and estimate instrumentation tasks during studies.
• Prepare job packages and follow up deliveries with suppliers.

Job Responsibilities

• Detailed design of instrumentation tasks.
• Participate in studies. Estimate instrumentation tasks.
• Prepare job packages and follow up on deliveries.
• Discipline check of design basis (studies, drawings, and job packages).
• Follow up with suppliers, package responsibility.
• Participate in pre-test/FAT at the supplier.
• Participate in inspections onshore/offshore.
• Able to take on training responsibilities for new engineers.
• Perform as-built.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instrumentation/Automation Hardware. Alternatively, a Technical College degree with extensive experience in VEM.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience from offshore and/or onshore oil & gas projects.
• Proven track record in instrumentation engineering and design.
• Extensive knowledge of brownfield modifications and work on operating facilities.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems and field equipment used in the oil and gas industry.
• Good understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems.
• Experience with ATEX, NORSOK, STID, ProCoSys, and ARIS.
• Fluent in Norwegian and/or English, both written and spoken
• Ability to take ownership of engineering activities and support project execution from study phase through completion.
• Experience with preparatiln of tenders, tie-back developments, and metering systems is considered an advantage.
