Job summary

newcleo is seeking an experienced engineer specialized in instrumentation and controls for its operations in the United States. This role involves managing engineering activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline is essential, along with over 15 years of experience in the nuclear fuel industry. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package, starting with 20 paid leave days yearly.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in instrumentation and controls engineering, preferably within the nuclear fuel industry.
  • Experience applying ISA 84 / IEC 61511 functional safety.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a range of engineering activities, including design and control systems architecture.
  • Define and implement instrumentation and control system architecture solutions for safety applications.
  • Supervise PLC/SCADA system programming and development.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with engineering and project teams for integrated development.
  • Participate in design reviews and change processes.
  • Execute work in accordance with project cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Support procurement and subcontracting efforts.
  • Assist in preparing project engineering phases.
