Job summary

AFRY USA is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to lead I&C deliverables on multi-disciplinary projects. You will specify DCS/PLC systems, prepare P&ID input, and collaborate with process engineers and vendors to size control valves. The role includes field data collection, commissioning, and startup support.

The position supports hybrid (part-time office/part-time remote) or fully remote work when office distance is a consideration. Travel may be required 10–15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Required Professional Engineering registration or in process of obtaining.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience with process instrumentation in Pulp & Paper; Oil and Gas or Chemical industry acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Lead I&C discipline on multi-disciplinary projects, deliverables, schedules, and client communication.
• Prepare cost estimates for instrumentation and control systems.
• Specify control system components for DCS and PLC systems.
• Develop Instrument Index, I/O List, Panel List, and Cable List.
• Create Loop Diagrams and Junction Box wiring diagrams.
• Support field data collection, commissioning, and startup.
