Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a senior Project Controls Manager to lead analytics and insights for data-driven decision making in Lenexa, KS. You will ensure InEight, P6, and automated reporting are set up and maintained, providing actionable insights for project management teams.

Based in Lenexa, KS, you will collaborate with engineering, project management, and clients, guiding a project controls team and supporting transitions from proposal to execution with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin, Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in the business consulting, engineering, or construction industry.
• Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and presentation communications skills.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive
• Confident, articulate, and professional speaking abilities and experience speaking in public, to groups, or via electronic media
• Ability to think strategically while identifying problems and developing creative solutions
• Candidates must also be able and willing to do minimal travel for business needs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operations management to build relationships and establish effective controls
• Perform analysis of auto reporting to pinpoint areas of improvement and make data-driven recommendations
• Articulate and summarize information and results to management
• Accountable for budgeted, actual and forecasted take-off quantities, manhours and dollars
• Accountable for the preparation and completion of internal audits
• Provide leadership and coaching to the project controls team
• Represent Kiewit Project Controls in internal and external meetings – trainings, presentations to engineering partners, overviews to potential clients, etc.
• Coordination with Estimating and Business Management to support transition from proposal to execution
• Show understanding of P6 and have the ability to become a super-user of Kiewit’s project controls software (InEight)
• Identify and understand key components in project contracts that impact project controls processes
