Job summary

Peraton is seeking a candidate to design, develop, test, and operate instrumentation and control systems within a multidisciplinary team at PERATON Labs in New Jersey. The role includes developing embedded devices for prototypes and field-deployable systems and producing professional design documentation.

Required are a degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 8+ years (BS), 6+ years (MS), or 3+ years (PhD) of relevant experience, plus skills in NI equipment, LabVIEW, and PLC/IO

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering; 8+ years experience.
• MS with 6+ years experience.
• PhD with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience must be in a professional setting.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test instrumentation & control systems.
• Provide technical oversight of staff when appropriate.
• Hands-on testing of electronics and software; diagnose failures and perform repairs.
• Develop and review documentation: diagrams, wiring, and test plans.
• Develop embedded computing and digital signal processing designs.
• Analyze analog and digital circuitry and properties.
• Prepare design review materials for internal and external reviews.
• Review documents for manufacturability, testability, and design validation.
