Job summary

Peraton is seeking a design-focused engineer to join a small multidisciplinary team. You will analyze and design electronics and embedded devices for prototypes and field-deployable systems, and generate professional design documentation.

Requirements include a degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with substantial experience, experience with NI equipment and LabVIEW, and the ability to support design reviews and documentation packages.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 8+ years (BS), 6+ years (MS) or 3+ years (PhD) of relevant work.
Experience with NI equipment (cRIO, cDAQ, PXI) and LabVIEW.
Experience with analog/digital IO, signal conditioning and PLCs.
Ability to read and edit schematics, ICDs and process diagrams.
Strong documentation skills in MS Word/PowerPoint and design reviews.
Onsite work five days a week; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and test instrumentation and control systems for prototypes and production.
Provide technical oversight and hands-on testing of electronics and software.
Develop and review documentation packages (diagrams, schematics, drawings, test plans).
Develop embedded computing and DSP designs and applications.
Prepare design review materials for internal and external reviews.
Review packages for manufacturability, testability and validation.
