Qualifications

• 3+ years experience developing instructor-led training for complex, hands-on skills.
• Bachelor's degree in instructional design or education related field.
• Proficient with PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams.
• Self-manage assigned tasks and deadlines to deliverables on time.
• Collaborate with team and SMEs to communicate concerns, issues and risks.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop instructor-led (classroom) and on-the-job (field) training for apprenticeships in the Power Generation utility industry.
• Perform detailed task analysis for hydro utility workers performing complex, high-risk, hands-on work.
• Create hands-on practice activities, student guides, facilitator guides, and scenario-based learning materials.
• Develop assessments, simulations, videos and other instructional media to support applied skills development and job performance.
• Define learning objectives and course structure aligned to safety requirements and remote learning environments.
• Work under the direction of the Senior Instructional Designer to apply company standards, guidelines, and templates.
• Participate in milestone meetings with SMEs, including task analysis, alpha, beta, train the trainer, and pilot.
• Engage with SMEs for ongoing content review and validation.
• Available during office hours: 8am to 5pm (PST) and ability to meet in person for milestone meetings.
