Job summary

Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) seeks an Instructional Designer to support design and delivery of curricular projects using instructional technologies. You will assist in LMS setup, course development, and faculty training to optimize learning experiences.

The role emphasizes multimedia production, online training materials, and research on emerging educational technologies to advance academic excellence and student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Educational Media, Visual Communications Technology, Instructional Design/Technology or related field.
• Minimum three years’ experience producing videos with professional video production equipment.
• Experience developing and maintaining websites and educational technology to meet WCAG 2.1 AA.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and cloud-based applications such as desktop recording, lecture capture and video conferencing.
• Proficient with Articulate products and Adobe Creative Cloud video editing for instructional design.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Matters guidelines and their application in instructional design.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in design, development and support of curricular projects using instructional technologies.
• Assist with learning management systems, course shells, training and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with faculty to implement academic technology solutions and best practices.
• Design and deliver workshops on emerging instructional technologies.
• Design and develop online training materials for students, faculty and staff.
• Design and produce professional quality instructional videos throughout production stages.
• Manage academic technology projects with supervisor oversight.
• Research and recommend instructional technologies and stay current on new trends.
