Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a Learning & Development Rep III in Akron, OH to partner with HR and leadership to assess needs and design, develop, deliver, and evaluate learning solutions that enhance organizational effectiveness. You will manage instructional design projects, support LMS activities, and lead initiatives focused on leadership development and analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant work experience; or 7+ years without a degree.
• Knowledge of ADDIE model and instructional design methodologies.
• Experience designing, developing, and delivering instructor-led, virtual, blended, and web-based learning.
• Experience using training technologies (eLearning tools, virtual platforms, video production).
• Strong written, verbal, and visual communication; able to translate complex info into learner-friendly content.

Responsibilities

• Partner with HR and leadership to assess needs and identify training solutions.
• Design and develop materials: lesson plans, facilitator guides, job aids, assessments.
• Apply adult learning principles to create engaging, measurable experiences.
• Support LMS administration: course setup, testing, tracking, reporting, records.
• Coordinate training logistics: facilities, scheduling, attendance tracking, analytics.
• QA reviews of learning materials and tech; ensure accessibility and accuracy.
• Maintain SharePoint and learning tech resources; ensure current information.
• Analyze LMS data, learner feedback, completion trends, and metrics.
• Support LMS governance: access roles, data integrity, audit readiness, assignments.
• Lead enterprise projects on employee development and learning tech adoption.
• Develop and deliver presentations for varied audiences on complex topics.
• Stay current on adult learning trends, accessibility, and learning analytics.
