Job summary

PG&E Academy is seeking an Experience Instructional Designer to join the Curriculum Development Team in support of Gas Operations learning needs. You will translate business objectives into learning solutions, collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders, and drive performance-focused content development to ensure employees are trained to competence.

The role supports Propel SAP modernization, Elevate GIS standardization, and hybrid work from Oakland with three in-office days per week.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Instructional Design or Communications or Teaching or Training or Change Management or Graphic Design work experience required.
• Proven track record of success in designing and developing high stakes, high impact learning solutions.
• Progressive responsibility in a lead instructional design capacity creating learning solutions to meet client needs.
• Experience with large-size projects and/or training programs.
• Experience working with senior management and leaders to create learning solutions.

Responsibilities

• Act as a thought leader and partner with clients and senior management to devise and implement learning and performance support solutions with high risk and high impact.
• Create, lead, manage and drive the execution of instructional strategies for enterprise-wide program implementation.
• May lead day-to-day training department operations, including oversight of large cross-functional teams.
• Exercise independent judgment and accountability in leading design and production of complex, cross-functional learning projects.
