The role blends rapid eLearning development with live event facilitation. Based in US Raleigh-Durham, NC, in-office Tue–Thu; remote Monday/Friday. Start ASAP after interviews; project through 2026; 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of instructional design experience.
• Expert-level skills in Articulate Rise and Storyline 360.
• Practical experience using AI agents (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to accelerate content development.
• Proven ability to deliver engaging virtual instructor-led training (VILT) via Zoom.
• Ability to translate complex or technical subjects into clear, engaging content for non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in layout, color, and brand alignment using Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to co-create live learning events, eLearning courses, and on-demand resources.
• Use AI tools to flesh out content and generate initial outlines.
• Build interactive eLearning solutions in Articulate Rise and Storyline 360.
• Create 1-2 minute instructional/marketing videos with screen recordings and basic animations.
• Script, produce, and co-facilitate live IT learning events and workshops.
• Own and drive the survey and measurement strategy including MS Forms and Zoom polls.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Instructional Designer/eLearning Developer to design, develop, and deploy engaging learning solutions for key internal IT learning initiatives including AI, Cybersecurity Awareness, Microsoft Productivity Suite, and various Workplace Apps, for a global enterprise client. This is a high-impact role requiring a savvy professional who can leverage AI tools for content creation and pivot comfortably between rapid eLearning development and live event facilitation.

Location: US - Raleigh-Durham, NC

In-office days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; remote work on Monday and Friday.

Contract Type: W2 Hourly

Project Duration: As soon as the recruiting process closes until December 31, 2026

Project Capacity: 40 hours per week

Start Date: ASAP after the interview process and background check

SweetRush is a remote organization, and as such, all resources must be technically savvy, have access to a strong internet signal, be comfortable with virtual/instant messaging and conferencing tools, and generally be available during established working hours.

W2 Hourly

$50/hour

In this role, you will bridge the gap between technology and people by raising awareness and fostering engagement with IT offerings. You will be responsible for:

• Learning Experience Design: Collaborating with stakeholders to co-create live learning events, eLearning courses, and on-demand resources.
• AI-Enhanced Development: Using AI tools (such as Copilot chat and web search) to flesh out content and generate initial outlines.
• Content Creation: Building interactive eLearning solutions in Articulate Rise and Storyline 360.
• Multimedia Production: Creating 1-2 minute instructional/marketing videos, including screen recordings, simple animations, and recording your own voiceovers.
• Live Event Facilitation: Working with IT Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to script, produce, and co-facilitate live learning events and workshops.
• Evaluation: Owning and driving the survey and measurement strategy, including L1 feedback via MS Forms and Zoom polls.

What You Bring - Required Skills

• Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of instructional design experience.
• Technical Proficiency: Expert-level skills in Articulate Rise and Storyline 360.
• AI Savvy: Practical experience using AI agents and use cases to accelerate the content development process (Microsoft Copilot preferred).
• Facilitation: Proven ability to deliver engaging virtual instructor-led training (VILT) via Zoom.
• Communication: Exceptional ability to translate complex or technical subjects into clear, engaging content for non-technical audiences.
• Visual Design: A keen eye for layout, color, and brand alignment using tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.

Bonus Skills

• Specialized Knowledge: Prior experience creating courses for AI, Cybersecurity, or Microsoft Productivity Suite.
• Agile Environments: Experience working within an agile development framework.
• Project Management: Project management experience.
