Instructional Designer/eLearning Developer - IT Initiatives

Location: USA – Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area; 2‑3 day onsite requirement. This role is on a W2 hourly contract with SweetRush.

Contract Type: W2 Hourly Contract
Hourly Rate: $50/hour
Project Duration: June 2026 to December 31, 2026 (possible extension)
Project Capacity: 40 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP after interview and background check

Job Scope: This role will support an IT Customer Success and Enablement group to drive internal customer success and technology enablement across the learning enterprise, minimizing disruption, enhancing productivity, and improving the employee experience. The successful candidate will design, develop, and deploy engaging learning solutions for key internal IT initiatives such as AI and cybersecurity awareness campaigns, and various workplace apps & tools for end users across the enterprise globally.

Job Responsibilities

• Learner needs assessment – thoroughly understand learners’ needs and requirements, researching and analyzing learner profiles, preferences, and challenges.
• Learning experience design – collaborate with team and stakeholders to plan, co‑create, and design learning experiences fit for the audience and needs of the initiative or product offering. Includes live learning events, eLearning courses, on‑demand resources, and internal social announcements.
• Learning content development – develop learning content for various technology solutions that is accessible and understandable to a non‑technical audience, supporting content development including facilitator scripts and presentation materials for IT live learning events.
• eLearning development – build interactive eLearning solutions in Articulate Rise and Storyline 360 and deploy them in the Learning Management System. Leverage multimedia elements, design elements, and interactive technologies to create dynamic and immersive learning environments.
• Collaboration and consultation – work closely with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and relevance of the content, aligning learning experiences with desired learning outcomes.
• Learning facilitation and delivery – facilitate live or in‑person sessions with global audiences focused on technology products, services, or initiatives, using interactive methods to maximize participation, engagement, and retention.
• Learning surveys and evaluation – ensure all learning deliverables include a listening and measurement strategy, implementing surveys and evaluation methods to support each one.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3+ years of experience in Learning Experience Design: Curriculum Design and eLearning Development.

Bonus Skills

• Instructional design experience creating courses in technology‑related areas such as AI, cybersecurity, Microsoft Productivity Suite, or computer applications for internal end users.
• Knowledge of adult‑learning principles and instructional design frameworks such as ADDIE or SAM.
• Expertise in Articulate Rise and Storyline 360.
• Ability to educate end users on complex or technical subjects in clear and engaging ways.
• Experience designing and delivering engaging virtual learning sessions (Zoom or similar).
• Proven skills in creating visually engaging learning content and graphics (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar).
• Experience producing live action and graphics‑based instructional videos.
• Strong project management skills for quality and on‑time delivery.
• Experience working in an agile development environment.
