Job summary

Clarity Consultants is seeking a Senior Instructional Designer with strong AI expertise to design an innovative leadership development program focused on helping executives, directors/VPs, and functional managers adopt and apply artificial intelligence in their day-to-day work.

The consultant will translate highly technical AI content into engaging learning experiences, collaborate with AI/IT SMEs, and develop measurement strategies to assess adoption and impact.

Clarity is seeking a Senior Instructional Designer with strong AI expertise to design an innovative leadership development program focused on helping leaders effectively adopt and apply artificial intelligence in their day-to-day work. The organization has already provided employees with AI tools and is now focused on increasing adoption, creating effective workflows, leveraging connectors with other applications, and identifying opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency.

This consultant will transform existing technical AI content into an engaging, practical learning experience tailored to three leadership audiences: Executives, Directors/VPs, and Functional Managers. The program will emphasize practical application rather than technical instruction and will incorporate measurement to evaluate adoption and impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Design a comprehensive AI learning program tailored to three levels of leadership.
• Translate highly technical AI content into accessible, relevant, and actionable learning experiences for business leaders.
• Conduct interviews with AI and IT SMEs as well as employees who are successfully using AI workflows, connectors, and other advanced capabilities.
• Identify practical use cases that demonstrate how leaders can incorporate AI into their work to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Design creative, highly engaging learning experiences that encourage leaders to experiment with and adopt AI.
• Develop a blended learning approach that may include ILT/VILT sessions, pre- and post-work, and asynchronous eLearning.
• Differentiate content, activities, and use cases based on the needs of Executives, Directors/VPs, and Functional Managers.
• Incorporate measurement strategies to assess learning, AI adoption, application, and program impact.
• Collaborate with the project manager and provide regular progress and status updates.

Required Experience

• Strong AI literacy and demonstrated experience incorporating AI into learning initiatives.
• Experience designing learning programs focused on AI adoption, AI enablement, or AI transformation.
• Hands-on familiarity with Anthropic Claude and Microsoft Copilot.
• Strong instructional design background with demonstrated success creating innovative and engaging learning experiences.
• Experience designing leadership or executive-level learning programs.
• Ability to translate complex or highly technical subject matter into practical learning for nontechnical audiences.
• Experience conducting SME and stakeholder interviews and synthesizing information from multiple sources.
• Strong understanding of blended learning, including ILT/VILT, eLearning, and pre- and post-learning activities.
• Experience developing measurement strategies that go beyond completion and satisfaction to evaluate application, adoption, and impact.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and project-management skills, including the ability to work effectively with a PM and provide regular updates.
• Experience using Anthropic Claude and Microsoft Copilot is required.
• Specific authoring tool requirements are being confirmed.
• Consultant will need to provide their own laptop and required software/tool licenses.
• The consultant will be expected to actively leverage AI tools as part of the design and development process.
