Job summary

CAIR-CA, the civil rights and advocacy organization serving California, is seeking an Institutional Giving Manager in Anaheim, CA to lead institutional fundraising efforts. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required or equivalent combination of related experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in institutional fundraising or nonprofit development with major grants.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervising staff.
  • Proven track record of securing six- and seven-figure grants from private foundations, corporations, or government agencies.
  • Experience managing institutional fundraising initiatives and complex grant portfolios.
  • Excellent grant writing, editing, and storytelling abilities with the ability to translate complex programs into funding proposals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead institutional fundraising strategy to grow foundation, corporate, and government funding.
  • Oversee a portfolio of institutional funders with cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.
  • Develop grant budgets, financial reports, and compliance documentation with Finance.
  • Manage grants administration, reporting deadlines, and stewardship obligations.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with institutional funders and collaborators.
  • Provide strategic leadership and keep leadership informed of funding trends and opportunities.
