Job summary

SLR Consulting (US) seeks a Resident Engineer/Chief Inspector to oversee CT DOT construction projects, from road reconstructions to intricate bridge replacements across Connecticut. Lead field inspection teams, review contract docs, and ensure compliance with project requirements.

The role is full-time with growth opportunities. A BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and 5+ years CT DOT inspection experience are preferred, along with NICET, ACI, NETTCP certifications.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or related engineering discipline.
• NICET certifications; related experience considered in lieu of degree.
• 5+ years of inspecting and administering water, wastewater, process or industrial construction projects.
• 5+ years CT DOT inspection experience or similar public agency projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide Chief Inspector/Senior Inspector services for CT DOT construction projects.
• Review contract documents and coordinate with clients/contractors.
• Prepare inspection records, reports, and change orders.
• Manage and mentor inspection staff and oversee multiple projects.
