Job summary

DEFTEC Corporation seeks an Insider Threat Analyst at Redstone Arsenal to safeguard FBI assets. You will research large data sets, fuse datasets, and build repeatable detections using SQL/Python and Splunk/Sentinel.

You will develop analytics and provide decision-quality visuals with Power BI/Excel, addressing insider risk across UAM, DLP, and SIEM systems. You will access classified and open-source systems, manage secure processing per SOPs, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to produce

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance is required
• Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of related experience in lieu of degree
• Minimum 4 years in national-security or operational-security environments
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Chrome
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to brief diverse stakeholders
• Analytic communication: explain methods/results to non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Research, fuse, and analyze large datasets using SQL/Python; produce visuals in Power BI/Tableau/Excel
• Monitor insider-threat across SIEM/DLP/UBA; triage alerts; log analysis in Splunk and Sentinel
• Build and tune data pipelines, queries, and automations per InTO SOPs
• Utilize Microsoft Purview, Defender, Sentinel; Azure services; and UAM software to detect data-loss
• Access classified/open-source systems; manage secure processing and storage per SOPs
• Compare multi-source reports to find correlations; generate leads/alerts in Splunk/Sentinel/Power BI
• Develop analytics for large-scale analysis using SQL/Python and Azure
• Produce analytic products and present findings to stakeholders
• Perform DLP and insider-risk investigations; identify inappropriate activity
• Provide technical support; create Splunk searches, Sentinel queries, and BI views
• QC analytic processes; prioritize multiple projects effectively
• (ITMU role) Mentor/QA less-senior analysts; lead prototype analytics
